Wike Inspects Pleasure Park
The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has stated that the Port Harcourt Pleasure Park will be completed on schedule in view of the seriousness being exhibited by the contractors, Julius Berger Plc.
Speaking yesterday during his routine inspection of the project, Wike expressed satisfaction with the quality of the restaurants and shops already being erected.
The governor also inspected the lake being constructed within the park and the internal roads of the facility.
He charged the Special Adviser on Special Projects, Cyril Dum Witee, to monitor, on a daily basis, the progress of work at the Pleasure Park.
Responding, Special Adviser to the Rivers State Governor on Special Projects, Mr Cyril Dum Witee assured the governor that the contractors were working in line with approved architectural design of the iconic project.
Wike was accompanied on the project inspection by elder statesman, Chief Sergeant Awuse and the member representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency, in the House of Representatives, Hon Kingsley Chinda.
The Port Harcourt Pleasure Park was initiated by Wike to provide Nigerians with a world class recreation facility.
It is scheduled to be completed in December, 2016.
