Tam-George Blasts APC …Over Calls For Wike’s Resignation
The Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Dr Austin Tam-George, has denounced the Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) for calling on the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, to resign from office.
Tam-George described as ridiculous and petty the call by the APC, and challenged the party to concentrate on reinventing itself under a new leadership.
The information boss described the leaders of APC as discredited individuals led by Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, whose administration plunged Rivers State into poverty and mass misery.
The commissioner expressed surprise that the APC feels qualified to express any opinion on the government or Nyesom Wike given the APC’s pedigree on failure and ineptitude.
Tam-George praised Nyesom Wike for his visionary leadership and commitment to develop the state on all fronts.
He added that the governor’s giant strides in delivering huge infrastructure and development projects that could stand the test of time are eloquent testimonies of his administration’s determination to fulfill the mandate given to it by the majority of Rivers people, and challenged the APC to join forces with the Wike government to move the state forward rather than peddle rumours and run propaganda campaigns that would lead the party nowhere.
