Rivers CP Assures Adequate Security …As Police Unveils Show Of Force
The Rivers State Com
missioner of Police, CP Francis Mobolaji Odesanya, has assured the people of the state of adequate security across the state especially during and after the Sallah celebrations.
The State Commissioner of Police gave the assurance while briefing newsmen on the security arrangement put in place for the Sallah celebrations across the State held at the command headquarters in Port Harcourt, Monday.
CP Mobalaji said he had ordered intensive patrols and show of force of all routes and placement of patrol vehicles and locations in the state in accordance with the IGP’s policy of visibility policing.
According to him, the command’s tactical units have been placed on a red alert and positioned to swiftly respond to distress calls adding that strong emphasis is placed on crime prone areas like Ubima/Elele/Omerelu Owerre and Rumuji/Ndele Ahoada axis of the East West Road.
The CP swore not to spare anybody or group of persons involved in any act of criminality even as he urged the people of the state to continue to have faith in the ability of the police to secure a peaceful state.
“Finally, let me warn criminals to repent, relocate or face the wrath of the laws as Rivers State will no longer be conducive for them,” he warned.
