Remain Committed To Dev …Kumuyi Tells Wike
The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Christian Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has encouraged the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, to remain committed to the development of the state as the church will continue to back him in prayers.
This is as Wike declared that Rivers State is dedicated to God who has been faithful to the state despite the evil machinations of the enemies of the state.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Port Harcourt, on Saturday, Kumuyi advised Wike never to be distracted in his pursuit of development for the state.
He said that he was in Rivers State to bring divine solutions to human problems, noting that Rivers State will overcome her challenges to be a leading light in the country.
The cleric noted that because the Rivers State Government has honoured God, it will get divine visitation that will address all the challenges that the people of the state are facing.
He said, “the challenges we face are temporal. God will use us to bring a time of peace and security to the state”.
Kumuyi added that the future is bright for Nigeria and Rivers State, saying that the present challenges will pass away.
Responding, the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, noted that the visit of the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry to Rivers State will attract spiritual blessing to the state and help the state attain further grace for rapid development.
He said his administration is anchored on God who has protected his leadership from all ungodly attempts to pull it down since he was sworn in.
He said: “Your coming to Rivers State will mark the end of our challenges. I know that God will do His work for this state.
“My administration is anchored on God. But for God, we would have been pulled down. But God has been on our side”.
Highpoint of the visit of the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry was the inspection of the new chapel nearing completion at the Government House, Port Harcourt.
