Obuah Assures On Stronger Rivers IPAC

Following his re-election as
the Rivers State Chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council, (IPAC), Bro. Felix Obuah has assured that he would work with all members to ensure the body remains efficient, focused and stronger.
Obuah, who is also the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stated this while commending members of the council after being re-elected its Chairman alongside other executive members to pilot the affairs of the body in the State.
He congratulated other IPAC members who contested and emerged elected officials of the body, urging them to consider their election as a call to selfless service to their various political parties, the State and indeed, all Nigerians.
The IPAC Chairman further stated that under his watch, IPAC activities and programmes will be devoid of undue political control and interference by any particular member-party, but would at all times project and carry out consensus views of all members in the State without discrimination.
Obuah enjoined members of the council to always put the interest of the State ahead of their personal or political consideration, stressing that the body was founded on the principle of justice, equity and fair play.
He thanked all member-parties for considering him fit as their leader and assured them of equal opportunity to all.
The election, which was conducted by the IPAC National Secretary and National Chairman of CPP, Chief (Dr) Sam Eke, with the support of the National Secretary of NNPP, Major Agbo (Rtd), was supervised by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Others elected as Rivers State Inter Party Advisory Council Executives include Engr. Joshua Worlu of SDP, with 28 votes to emerge as Deputy Chairman; Sir Precious Baritordo Barido of Accord Party, who got 29 votes to become the State Secretary, while Hon. Chinedu Onyekachi Onyema of DPC secured the post of Assistant Secretary with 28 votes.
Also elected are Hon Tonye Cotterel Wokoma of KOWA Party, who got 29 votes to become the Treasurer; Prince Favour Felix Reuben of Labour Party emerged Publicity Secretary with 29 votes, while Dr (Mrs.) Anastasia Tepikor of NCP scored 29 votes to serve as Financial Secretary.
