MFM Eases Worries With Home Win
MFM FC eased their
relegation fears after they defeated Lobi Stars 3-1 in a rescheduled Nigeria league match Sunday morning.
It was the Lagos club’s first win in eight matches and they have now shot to 15th on the table with 41 points from 33 matches.
Lobi is sixth having recorded 49 points.
Sikiru Olatunbosun gave MFM a deserved opening goal after 21 minutes on the back of a great combination play with strike partner Stephen Odey.
Musa Newman doubled the home team’s advantage after 50 minutes and he completed his brace seven minutes later.
Barnabas Imenger pulled a goal back for the visiting Lobi on the hour.
