Laundry Association Hails Wike On Security
The Chairman of the
Launderers Association of Nigeria, Rivers State chapter, Chief Goddy Benson, has commended the Rivers State Governor over efforts in fighting criminality in the state.
Benson who was speaking during the inauguration of the association’s executives for the 2016-2017 period said the governor’s efforts towards restoring peace in the state has brought confidence to members in the sub-sector.
According to him, most members closed shop across the state due to the spate of attacks on members.
He said plans are in top gear to approach the government on areas of collaboration.
Some of the executive members who spoke to The Tide while extolling the leadership qualities of the governor said their members needed government to make funds accessible to them.
The secretary, Mr. Godknows Israel, while speaking to The Tide on the sidelines of the event said the organisation was ready to partner the state in any area that could foster peace to enable business to flourish in Port Harcourt and the state at large.
The highpoint of the event was the recognition of some prominent members of the public who have been supportive of the association through patronage of their services.
