The debutants had a very poor start to the season which stretched till the later stage of the league however, an excellent run of form has boosted their confidence and with just three matches left till the end of the season, Ikorodu United are still fighting on.
“ If it’s God’s wish that we shall stay in the NPFL which I sincerely pray that it happens then so be it,” Okoro told newmen
“We didn’t start well at the start of the season but it’s good that we have discovered the right form at this stage and this might be the game changer. But I know we are for real. The spirit is always high no doubt about that.
“We are motivated morally, psychologically and financially so why won’t the spirit not be so high? That chance to stay in the NPFL is very slim but we shall do our part and wait to see results each weekend and hopefully Ikorodu United may play in the NPFL next season.
“We playing against Plateau United and that’s what is on our mind. To our dear fans, they should expect good football and a good result by God’s grace.
Ikorodu United are second from the rare with 32 points, twelve points behind 13th placed Plateau United.
