Former Nigeria goalkeeper,
Greg Etafia has joined Cape Town All Stars after a 14-year-old romance at another South African club Moroka Swallows.
The 33-year-old Etafia will be goalkeeper trainer and double as assistant to former Swallows teammate Patrick Mabedi at the South African second division club.
“It’s a new chapter in my life and I am happy to face this challenge head on,” said Etafia, who joined Swallows in June 2002.
Former Malawi defender Mabedi and Etafia are on rescue mission after Cape Town All-Stars fired their coach after they lost three games in a row.
And their first match will be on Friday afternoon against Santos, who will be led by their former coach at Swallows, Zeca Marques.
The former Plateau United star has a CAF C coaching license and last season was in charge of Swallows in the National First Division (NFD).
He was in charge for eight games, winning six, drawing one and losing one.
