‘We Can’t Conduct 2019 Polls’

tional Electoral Commission (INEC) says it may be difficult for it to organise a conclusive general elections in 2019.
This fear was raised by INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmud Yakubu when he visited The Punch newspaper office in Ogun State.
He said the fear was based on the level of insecurity and irregularities that rocked the 2015 elections and other elections conducted by the commission between 2015 and this year.
The INEC boss said the commission would do its job to conduct credible polls if everyone including politicians adheres strictly to rules of electoral system in the country.
