Rivers CJ Charges New NBA Leadership On Unity

The Rivers State Chief
Judge, Justice, I.A. Iyaye-Lamikanra, has charged the newly inaugurated three Branches of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in the state, Okehi, Okirika and Omoku to work in unity and uphold the tenets of the law profession in the discharge of their duties.
The three new branches were created from the present Port Harcourt branch making the association to have eight branches in the state.
Justice Iyaye-Lamikanra who was represented by Justice George Omereji gave the advice while speaking during the formal inauguration of the executives of the new branches at the Chief Judge’s Ceremonial Hall, High Court Complex, Port Harcourt, Monday.
She opined that the creation of the new branches would promote sense of belonging and strengthen the activities of the bar at the various branches as well as expand the coast of the lawyers practice in those areas.
“It is a thing of joy and we thank the leadership of the NBA at the national level for approval of the creation of the three additional branches which has increased the number of the associationd eight in the state”.
The State Chief Judge while congratulating the new executives and members of the branches assured them of the State Judiciary support.
