Head of Sports, Cool FM,
Wazobia FM and Nigeria Info in Port Harcourt, Ngozi Ezeuduma, has pledged the support of the stations in ensuring a successful testimonial for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) legend, Victor Ezeji.
The former Sharks, Dolphins and Enyimba player who played for twenty seasons in the NPFL called time on his football career last season and plans are underway to host a testimonial in Port Harcourt in his honor come December.
Mrs Ezeuduma, also known in sports circles as Khalela, says the Sports Gang of the CoolWazobiaNigeriaInfo family would do all it can to ensure the success of the testimonial.
According to her, “The CoolWazobiaInfo family promise to give all our support in making this Victor Ezeji Testimonial a totally beautiful time.”
Ezeuduma also praised Ezeji’s longevity insisting that the testimonial is a great opportunity to celebrate a true NPFL legend.
“It’s great that we have a player who has played 20 seasons in the Nigeria professional football league or whatever the nomenclature it was known as earlier on.”  It is a big opportunity to celebrate someone who has given a lot to the league, she said.
“I think it’s wonderful incentive for other Nigerian players who will want to emulate his career, to also know that football is rewarding, not just about what you get in monetary terms but football is rewarding as a career and that when you come to the end of your career you’ll also be celebrated.”
Ezeji was the first player to be awarded the CoolWazobiaInfo player of the year at its Football Fans Fiesta in 2011.
The Abia State born footballer is also the only player to have scored in each of the twenty seasons he featured in the NPFL.
