Police Rescue Kidnapped 16 Bus Passengers

lice Command has said that the 16 occupants of the 16 seater passengers bus kidnapped recently by unknown  gunmen along Ama community near Omoku have been released.
A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, (PPRO), ASP Nnamdi  Omoni, disclosed that all the kidnapped victims have regained their freedom  and rejoined by their families.
According to the statement, the hoodlums have devised new methods in their  operations through the use of military uniforms and disguised  as if they were military officers to carry out the evil activities.
He urged the public  to always contact the police control room for prompt action even as he  assured that the police would continue to be pro-active in fighting  crime and  protection of live in the state.
It would be recalled that  unknown gun men at the weekend abducted a 16-seater bus from Port Harcourt to Omoku and kidnapped all the  occupants  of the bus thereby and took them to unknown destination.
The kidnappers were also said to have  set the bus  ablaze, causing panic to the  affected  victims
