The Secretary, Nigeria
Women Football League (NWFL), Ayo Adbulrahaman, last week in Abuja said that no club in the competition was bigger than its laid down rules.
Adbulrahaman told newsmen that clubs must obey the rules and regulation no matter how vibrant or old they were in the league.
He spoke against the backdrop of the walkover of Sasdatu Kolo Amazon against State House FC in Abuja.
“All clubs owners know the rules of the game; a club that fails to honour three matches or lose certain number of matches, such a club will be relegated.
“We all know these rules and we have many of them, we treat clubs appropriately and equally, we appreciate the level of changes but we want to do comprehensive work this season,’’ he said.
Adbulrahaman said the Match Day Five fixture between State House FC of FCT and FC Sasdatu Kolo Amazon of Minna in Group A of the NWPL has been considered a walkover.
“The rule is very clear that clubs must obey the rules of the game, so the league has upheld the walkover in favour of Sasdatu Kolo Amazon ,’’ he said.
NWPL  resumed the second round of the league on Saturday.
