Mikel Won’t Carry Nigeria’s Flag At Opening Ceremony Rio Olympics

Team Nigeria captain
and Chelsea star, Mikel Obi, will not be the one carrying the country’s flag at what is expected to be a very colourful opening ceremony of Rio Olympics today.
Mikel and the football squad have been stranded at Atlanta, Georgia, since July 29 even though officials had assured the team would finally fly out on a chartered flight yesterday.
Logistic considerations are therefore expected to knockout the Super Eagles skipper from leading out Team Nigeria.
Female table tennis player, Funke Oshinaike is now expected to get the honour to lead the 85-man strong Nigerian contingent at the opening ceremony.
Tennis star, Andy Murray, will lead the British contingent, while multiple-Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps will spearhead the team from the United States of America.
