Enyimba’s Title Defence Suffers Setback

Champions Enyimba
failed to climb into the top-four after they were held to a goalless draw at home by Sunshine Stars in a rescheduled Nigeria league match on Wednesday.
The Nigeria champions thus remain in sixth place with 42 points with a game in hand.
Sunshine climbed up to seventh on the table with 40 points on the back of this away draw.
Enyimba had a chance to take the lead in first half stoppage time but Ifeanyi Onuigbo’s penalty was saved by the outstanding goalkeeper Olorunleke Ojo.
The champions pegged back Sunshine in their own half but the visitors were kept alive by goalkeeper Ojo.
