Depleted Eaglets Win Final Warm-Up
Despite being stripped
bare of their best players, Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets battered Piloter Football Academy of Kaduna 4-0 in a final warm-up game before this weekend’s U17 AFCON qualifier against Niger.
About half of the 60-man Eaglets squad failed an age test last week with the first team most affected, but even at that the Eaglets controlled this test game from start to finish inside the mainbowl of the Abuja National Stadium Wednesday evening.
The Eaglets welcome Niger this weekend at the same venue in an U17 AFCON qualifier first leg with the return leg in Niamey.
