…As Wike Expresses Disappointment

Rivers State Governor
and Chairman of the PDP National Convention Planning Committee, Chief Nyesom Wike, has accused the police of selective enforcement of court orders in sealing off the venue of the convention in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
In a television interview, Governor Wike accused the police of deciding to enforce only the orders that were favourable to Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff.
He said the police action clearly shows that Sherriff was only acting out the script of certain political interests.
Governor Wike also said that it was unforuante that the vehicles used by the police to barricade the venue of the convention were procured by his administration while the armoured personnel carriers used in barricading the adjourning streets were serviced by the PDP-led state government.
