VC Lauds Producers Of Change

Chancellor, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Prof. Joseph B. Kinanee has reaffirmed the commitment of the university management towards repositioning it to a world class institution.
He was speaking at the median primier of a movie titled: Change, produced by the Faculty of Humanities last Thursday in the university’s auditorium.
Kinanee expressed hope that the movie will usher in the expected behavioral change in the institution, while thanking some brains behind the success of the event like Prof. Henry Bell-Gam over what he described as a job well done.
He also hinted about the possibility of introducing Theatre Arts Department in order to groom the already existing talents in the school. The university don further harped on the need for students to use their talents to create jobs for themselves in a bid to be relevant in the society.
Describing the film production as first of its kind, he said such extra curricular activity was capable of cultivating peaceful relationship among the students.
According to him, the movie production excited the school’s management due to the level of professionalism displayed.
He listed the construction of new hostels and recreational centre as part of the achievement of his administration.
Meanwhile, he has lauded the state Governor chief Nyesom Wike over his priceless effort towards making the state a bee hive for investors, as he appealed for support so as to enable him take the school to the next level.
