Sekibo Urges Support For Wike, PDP
The Rivers South-East
Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senate George Sekibo, on Wednesday, in Port Harcourt, canvassed the unflinching support, co-operation and understanding of Rivers people to the present administration in Rivers State to consolidate on the successes so far recorded in the administration’s NEW Vision and galvanised the state into greater heights.
Senator Sekibo, who stated this when receiving the executive members of the Coalition of Concerned Non-Governmental Organisations and Community-Based Organisations (CCNCC) for Wike 2015 general elections, noted that the success or failure of any leadership is dependent on the people, hence the need for collective effort of all.
“The success of the government of Rivers State is a collective efforts, if there is a failure, it means we all are failure, keep supporting us, your support for the governor means support for the entire Rivers State and a support to a senatorial candidate is only by an extension, so I enjoined you to keep supporting us,” he said.
Explaining the need for indigenes and residents of the state to give their unalloyed support to the Nyesom Wike’s led administration, Senator Sekibo assured that the state could be transformed to a better place for all to live in peace and harmony, if everyone collectively shares in the NEW Vision of the state.
He thanked the CCNCC members for their continued support and loyalty to the Wike’s-led administration, assuring that the PDP and the state government would continue to partner with them in every genuine effort to provide democracy dividends to the people.
The CCNCC President, Comrade Christian Obi, had earlier thanked Senator Sekibo for his good works and selfless service to the people of the state.
Pledging the full support of the group, Obi advised the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in Rivers State to conduct free and fair polls, warning that any form of irregularities will not be accepted.
