Rivers Hockey Teams For League One

Rivers State male and
female hockey teams have emerged Champions of the League two hockey championship held in Port Harcourt, recently.
The Rivers Men team triumphed over Police Machine also known as the IGP Flickers 2-1 at the hockey pitch of Adokiye Amiesimaka Sports Complex while the Ladies walked over Ogun State Female hockey Team.
Speaking at the event, the tournament director who is also a member of the Nigeria Hockey Board, Walter Emuedeme shared his thought to news men in Port Harcourt.
He commended the game and eventual winners, saying that hockey has a bright future in the country.
With the victories, the Rivers male and female hockey teams have booked their ticket to the Super League tournament also known as the League one, which kicks off in Abuja this weekend.
