The Electroal Officer of
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in-charge of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Comfort Nyeh has enjoined the people of the area to maintain their peaceful disposition during the forthcoming re-run legislative elections in the area.
Nyeh made the appeal Monday, during a stakeholders interactive session held  at the INEC Area Office, Ogu.
She said the interractive session was to intimate the stakeholders on the level of INEC’s preparation for the elections and to request that they advise their supporters and party agents to jettison thugery and intimidation of voters and electoral officers.
Nyeh appealed to all to be of good conduct and shun acts that would disrupt the smooth conduct of the elections, warning that with the signing of the Peace Accord and Memorandum of Understanding, they would be held responsible for any break down of law and order during and after the exercise.
The Ogu/Bolo INEC boss assured stakeholders of level playing ground, saying that the people should embrace whoever that was declared winner after the elections in the interest and development of the area.
Stakeholders who attended and signed the Peace Accord included the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Arnold Davids, his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Chief Isreal Iboms Oruchin, the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Hon. Titus Wakama, among others.  Top of Form Bottom of FormTop of Form   Bottom of FormTop of Form Bottom of Form
