Rangers, Abia Warriors To play Under Floodlight

gerian Professional Football League (NPFL) fixture between Rangers International FC of Enugu and Abia Warriors of Umuahia will be played under floodlight at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Rangers’ Director of Media, Foster Chime, told newsmen on Wednesday in Enugu that his team was prepared for the encounter which would kick off at 7 p.m.
“We have intensified trainings to maintain our winning streak and top the league table this season.
“We are perfecting strategies to sustain our winning formula both at home and away in the ongoing league.
“Notwithstanding our hard earned goalless draw against league toppers Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi on Sunday; we are camping in preparation for our match against Abia Warriors on Friday.
“The Rangers technical crew, headed by Imama Amapakabo, has vowed to sustain the players’ winning mentality and will unleash a crack squad that will overrun Abia Warriors in Enugu.
“Our players have expressed confidence that they will re-enact their winning formula today against the visitors as they are inspired by the success recorded against Wikki Tourists.
“We are planning to pick the maximum three points and possibly top the NPFL league once more as we did in the first stanza,’’ he said.
Meanwhile, one of the Rangers’ players, Obinna Nwobodo, has urged his teammates to go all out for victory in the match.
It would be recalled that Rangers and Abia Warriors played 2-2 draw in the first stanza at Umuahia.
Rangers are second on the league’s table with 40 points from 24 matches, two points from current toppers, Wikki Tourists who are on 42 points.
