Plateau United forward
Joshua Obaje has told newsmen that the Jos club will not be relegated at the end of the season despite their current position.
The former Black Leopard of South Africa forward said they were doing their best to ensure that the team survive the drop and that the fans should not panic.
“This is not the position we want to be, but we are working hard to come out of it,” he told newsmen last week
“I am assuring our fans that we won’t be relegated at the end of the season.”
Plateau United are second from bottom on the league table with 26 points from 23 matches.
They returned to the top flight this season after five seasons in the lower league.
Last week’s home win over league leaders Wikki Tourists has boosted their survival hopes but they face a very difficult road trip when they face an Abia Warriors side still smarting from a 5-0 trouncing at Kano Pillars.
