NGO Urges Nigerians To Embrace e-Learning
Nigerians have been
urged to embrace e-learning in order not to be left out in a world of technological advancement.
The Founder, Think Right Initiatives (TRI), Mr Earl Diche, made the call while exchanging views with newsmen in Port Harcourt Wednesday.
He said that new technology had paved way for people to experience learning in a new environment.
Diche urged that such development should not be limited to the classrooms, but be extended to the homes and offices.
Acknowledging that educational landscape is challenging, he said most students are non-traditional learners, thus the need to embrace e-learning.
He maintained that the system would also enable students to set their own pace and preference on how to study.
He further pointed out that analysts are driving actions for critical outcomes, adding that everything is going well on line and through other mobile devices.
The TRI boss, said his vision was to see Nigerian students access education from their local universities and colleges from anywhere at their own time and pace.
He harped on the importance of taking up professional courses by students, saying that learning does not stop at the university level alone.
In his view, e-learning was a sort of simplified learning system that is designed to produce professionals with less stress.
However, he called on school owners to ensure that e-learning was made mandatory in their schools.
