Monarch Advises Nigerians To Fall Back On Agric

Nigerians is said to
stand a better advantage than many countries of the world, if it could fall back fully on agriculture.
This advice was given by a prominent  paramount ruler/Nye Nwe Ali Omagwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area, HRH  (Eze) Jacob Orji during  a chat with our correspondent in his palace recently.
He said that Nigeria is blessed with a large population, an emerging market  economy and numerous mineral resources that boost agricultural production.
Eze Orji noted that the sector needed little resources to grow it, saying  that most things used in it were  naturally given, thereby  making agriculture priority occupation for people to be proud of.
The paramount ruler,  said people can  also venture into cashew  production, tomato and cassava production in large quantity, adding  that the soil is fertile for all kinds of crop production.
He hinted that the farmers in the state could even aid the state government to generate biofuel from  the cassava, if the farmers were committed to their trade.
The monarch also said that the state had good climate condition in that both the wet and dry seasons are on considerate  balance of scale.
“Here both rain and dry season are available  on a good premises. It does not rain all through  neither  is it  dry all through, this means that the two  seasons favour agriculture in the state” he said.
He advised  young people not to shy away from agricultural activities, but to join hands  in order to earn  better living.
He called on the state Government to make available  loan  facilities to farmers in the state to  enable them access more land   for the cultivation of their   crops
