Maltese Club Drags Wikki To FIFA
Maltese Premier
League team Mosta FC will drag Nigerian club, Wikki Tourists to FIFA over the non-payment of agreed loan fees for Yau Hassan, Samuel Chukwudi and AbdulMalik Mohammed.
Mosta general manager Adrian Furrigia told Tidesports source that the players were not eligible to play for Wikki as they are yet to pay the fees agreed to the Maltese team after they left for Nigeria.
He stated further that the Bauchi club promised to pay by June, but have not done that and since the NPFL team boss is not answering his calls, Mosta was left with no option than to take the case to FIFA.
“Mosta has three players in Wikki, Yau Hassan, Samuel Chukwudi and AbdulMalik Mohammed, in Nigeria league,” Furrigia.
“Wikki is owing us (Mosta) €22,000 for these players, we called their chairman three months ago and he promised they will pay by the end of June, but they are yet to pay.
“I have tried to reach the chairman but he’s not picking my calls. We did what we are to do when we signed the players, we paid Wikki €6000 for Chukwudi.
“We are giving them till Friday and if they didn’t respond, we will write FIFA.
“Giwa FC paid us €2,000 on Bobby Abel from €6,000 agreed, what they are owing is €4,000.”
