Fed Cup: Rivers Utd Accuses Referee Of Bias

The rescheduled
Federation Cup quarterfinal between Rivers United and Enyimba ran into controvesy yesterday after the Port Harcourt club claimed they were attacked by security men at the match venue in Ibadan.
The initial match was rained off by half time on Wednesday with scores still goalless.
And yesterday, Enyimba led two minutes into the second half through Samuel Chukwude.
The league champions were then awarded a controversial penalty in the 38th minute, which Rivers United protested and in the ensuing confusion they and their supporters were harassed and attacked by security men.
Rivers United officials accused the referee of biased officiating and also revealed that they had requested that the match be moved from Ibadan after they defeated the local side, Shooting Stars twice in this season’s league.
On Wednesday, Warri Wolves abandoned their quarterfinal against FC IfeanyiUbah late in the game after their equaliser was disallowed.
