Governor  Ifeanyi
Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has urged clerics in the country to pray for Nigeria to overcome its current economic challenges.
Ugwuanyi made the call while receiving the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry Worldwide, Pastor William Kumuyi, and his entourage at the Government House in Enugu recently.
Our correspondent reports that the delegation came to inform him of the ministry’s leadership conference holding in Enugu.
“God our Father, whom all authority comes from also gives leaders wisdom to govern.
“Clerics in the country should ask the Lord for wisdom, power and courage to be able to surmount the economic challenges facing us, both as a state and as a nation,’’ the governor said.
On the conference, the governor said that it would  provide an opportunity to present Enugu State and the nation in general in prayers.
The governor emphasised that with the prayers of the ministry and that of the people of the state, his administration would surely succeed.
Earlier, Kumuyi told the governor that he and his entourage were in the state for a conference that would enable the ministry transmit God’s messages to Africa and other parts of the world.
He expressed delight over the governor’s development initiatives, saying “Enugu is making progress.’’
