Community Tasks RSG On Good Roads

In a bid to improve the eco
nomic status of the people, the people of Omerelu community has appealed to the state government to award the contract for internal roads in the state.
This was the view of a business operator in the area, Mr. Innocent Amadi-Igwe when he spoke with newsmen at Omerelu in Ikwerre Local Government over the week.
He said if the country had good road network, it would among other things, improve its economic life.
Amadi-Igwe noted that transporting crops from the farms now take a good toll on the people as motor cycle operators charge high fares due to deplorable road.
The businessman who deals on palm products, stressed  that the prices of food crops would not have risen that high, if the roads were in good shape. Citing some communities in the LGA, like Elele, he said  good road network had placed it top among other communities in terms of commercial activities.
The business mogul, who expressed hope over the situation, said since Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration was bent on rural development, that his people would benefit from such laudable projects too.
He further said that good road network would also aid  proper policing of the community so as to make it economic vibrant and crime free.
He further called on well-meaning individuals from the area, to rally round the Wike-led government to provide the dividends of good governance and democracy to the area.
