Bizman Tasks Wike On ICT Training

The Rivers State Gov
ernor, Chief Nyesom  Wike, has been called to organize summer  Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training for students  during the vacation period.
Mr. Clifford Oji a business operator made the call in  an interview  with newsmen  Wednesday in Port Harcourt.
He said the ICT summer training was helpful to parents during each holiday period.
Oji who listed the benefits of ICT,  noted that the training period should be increased upto four weeks.
He explained that Information Technology ought to be given a proper attention  due to its relevance in all sectors of the economy.
He said the students will not only benefit technical  from the programme,  but will avail them the opportunity of exchanging views with their counterparts from other areas.
He recalled how those who have  adequate knowledge of ICT  now  rule their environments.
Acknowledging the hard economic situation in the country, he appealed  to the governor to organise the training for the interest of the students.
The businessman who spoke based on his experience on internet operation, said that anyone with sound ICT background has an added advantage  over others.
However,  he  appealed to the private sector  to consider the need to partner the state government on Information Technology Development.
