A Port Harcourt-
based businessman, Mr. Mosess Omuordu is demanding the sum of five million (N5m) from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and nine others over the violation of his rights.
Moses Omuordu, who stated this while speaking  with The Tide in Port Harcourt on Monday, noted that he was pursuing a matter with suit no: PHC/1273/2016 at Port Harcourt High Court against the police and six of his relatives, following an attack on him by the latter.
He said his siblings  had threatened  to kill him, destroyed his Mercedes Benz  (190) car, looted his properties and carted away cash over a minor family fued.
He said he had, promptly reported the matter to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Port Harcourt but the police formation was too slow to charge the matter to court upon which the respondents  cashed  in and petitioned to the Port Harcourt Area Command.
Mr. Omuordu  expressed regrets that ever since he reported the matter to police nothing was done to redress  the wrongs done to him.
He said among the reliefs he was  seeking was an order of mandamus to compel the IGP and the police to charge  the matter he reported to court.
He said he was grieved that the petition by his relatives was intended to make him a suspect in a matter that he was a complainant.
