RVHA Clears Three More CTC Chairmen
The Rivers State House of Assembly yesterday confirmed three remaining local government areas’ Caretaker Committee Chairmen and members earlier submitted to the House by the Executive Governor of the State, Chief Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt.
The Chairmen of the three local government area CTC include, Mr. Basoye Lolomari as Chairman designate for Asari-Toru Local Government Area, Mr. James Akubo, CTC Chairman designate for Ahoada West, and Mr. Akiodu Samuel for Degema Local Government Area.
The three Chairmen and members received approval  after the lawmakers present in the plenary session voted to confirm them.
Moving a motion for their confirmation, the Leader of the House, Hon. Martins Amaewhule expressed satisfaction with all the documents and responses to questions by the Chairmen and the members screened at the plenary session.
According to him, the documents and their presentation before the House showed that they are more qualified and ready for the jobs in their various local government areas of the state.
He said that the nominees should be confirmed for the Governor to swear them in as Chairmen of CTCs in their various LGAs.
Hon. Amaewhule also advised the confirmed CTC Chairmen and members to reflect their developmental agenda in line with the Rivers Vision of Governor Nyesom Wike, if sworn-in as CTC Chairmen and members.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adams Datorubldima announced the approval of the CTC Chairmen and members after all due process at the session.
The Speaker, who directed the Clerk of the House to prepare three confirmation letters in respect of  the screened CTC nominees, expressed happiness with the performances of the CTC chairman  designate at the session.
He also advised them to queue behind the Governor’s developmental agenda in the state at their various local government areas in the state.
