Rangers In Title Chase After Home Win
Enugu Rangers stayed
within striking distance of Nigeria league leaders Wikki Tourists after they defeated visiting Warri Wolves 2-1 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu Friday night.
Rangers are now second on the table with 39 points from 22 matches, two points behind Wikki.
Wolves remain in 12th with 30 points from 23 matches.
Former Flying Eagles midfielder, Obinna Nwobodo put home team Rangers in front after seven minutes, before Godwin Aguda doubled their advantage from the penalty spot on 39 minutes.
However, just before half time Udeh Zinte headed home past a sloppy Ghanaian goalkeeper Nana Bonsu to half the deficit.
Giwa FC striker, Ocheme Edoh made his debut for Rangers.
