A female lecturer  from
the University of Abuja, Professor(Mrs) Mabel Evwierhoma, has called on the Federal Government to put in place gender-friendly infrastructure in  public schools in Nigeria.
Prof. Evwierhoma made the call last week in Port Harcourt, at the second edition of  ‘Being A Women Workshop’, one of the Emily God’s Presence projects designed to provide a platform for women to share experiences as well as help others succeed.
Delivering a lecture at the workshop, Prof Evwierhoma, who was the lead speaker, said the education of female children is tantamount to liberating a whole society, hence, it is imperative that school environment be made enabling for girl-child  education to thrive.
This she said can be achieved by putting in place infrastructure that are gender-friendly.
As she commends the convener of the workshop , Dr (Mrs) God’s presence for her initiative at making the annual program a reality, the university professor also solicited for more women in schools management as well as a university for women in Nigeria as sure grounds to making women leap a little farther from beyond the boundaries to assuming the position of dogged contributors to human and social development.
