The Secretary, Nigeria
Para-Soccer Federation, Mohammed Abdullahi, has appealed to the public and corporate bodies to sponsor the 2016 National Para-soccer Super League.
The super league will hold in Kano between July 18 and July 31.
Abdullahi told newsmen that the Kano State Government had promised to support the federation with accommodation for the athletes.
“We have written letters to more than 100 companies seeking their support; we have started receiving good response from them.
“We are now focusing on the logistics and technical aspect of the tournament.
“We also need support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports in addition to what we have got from our sponsors,’’ he said.
According to him, about 24 states will participate in the tournament and the federation is committed to providing a befitting environment for all the participants.
Abdullahi said the federation was also preparing for the Annual National Para-soccer Championship to mark the World Polio day.
The championship championship will hold from Oct. 18 to Oct. 24 in Abuja at the package B of the National Stadium.
