MOSOP Flays Ogoni Killings

The Movement
for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP), has  condemned the killings and destructions of lives and property in all parts of Ogoni communities.
MOSOP particularly expressed displeasure over the recent  attacks  leading  to the destruction of lives and properties in Kporgho  community in Tai  local government area of Rivers by a neigbouring   Wakama community in Ogu-Bolo local government area of the state.  MOSOP in a release lamented that despite repeated notification to the government to take adequate steps  to protect the people of the area that have come under attack from their neighbours, the government appears to have been insensitive to the issue and noted that government  has the  responsibility to protect the lives of its citizens.
The group urged the state governor, Nyesom  Wike and the security agencies  to take urgent steps to restore nomalcy in these  Ogoni communities to ensure the security of the people.
