MASSOB Denies Link With Niger Delta Avengers

The Leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Solomon Chukwu, says there is no affiliation between members of MASSOB and the Niger Delta Avengers.
Chukwu, who spoke to our correspondent, yesterday, through his National Director of Information, Mr. Sunday Okereafor, said that while the avengers were armed, MASSOB members were not and non-violent.
Chukwu said MASSOB was not supportive of the activities of the avengers, describing their action as ill, obnoxious and nefarious.
He said, “avengers are militants. Their philosophy, ideology, concept, mission and vision  are quite extraneous from MASSOB.”
