How Entertainers Thrilled Spectators At Yobo’s Testimonial Match

It was a great day for a
great man from a great nation as Rivers State born football great, Joseph Yobo wrapped up his footballing career in style with a testimonial match at the Adokiye Amesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on May 27th, 2016, between team world and team Nigeria, the match ended 5-4 in favour of team Nigeria.
The state governor, His Excellency, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike was present at the stadium and he took the ceremonial kick off in style.
The Nigerian Entertainment Industry was not left out at the event as the movie, music and comedy clans were ably represented, Nollywood actor, Osita Iheme popularly known as ‘Pawpaw’ made the lineup of players and even scored a goal for Team world, ably assisted by Samuel Etóo.
Popular Standup comedian, Ayo Makun also known as ‘AY’, played in the match that featured some of the best players in the world such as: Joseph Yobo, Vincent Eyeama, Samuel Etóo, Chidi Odia, Mutiu Adepoju, Austin (J.J) Okocha Ahmed Musa, Alfred Chukwundukwe, Efe Ambrose and Godfrey Oboabona.
Others were: Danny Shittu, Emmanuel Emenike, Kanu Nwankwo, Sulley Muntari, Dele Ayenugba, Stephen Appiah, Ben Iroha, Lomana Lua-lua, Joel Obi, Shehu Dikko, Ogbonnaya Kanu amongst others, while the managers were Samson Siasia, David Moyes and Austin Eguavoen.
Afro Pop singer, Harry Song and Humble Smith thrilled the football spectators with hit songs from their hordes of songs.
Joseph Yobo was born on September 6, 1980. He was the 2013 AFCON winning team captain, and played in 101 matches for the Super Eagles in a glittering career that saw him turn out for the likes of Everton and Fenerbache.
