Bizman, 40, Docked Over N7.5m Theft

A 40-year-old busi
nessman, Akeem Oladipo, who allegedly stole N7.5 million from his business associate, was on Friday, charged at an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.
Oladipo, whose address was not given, is facing a charge of stealing.
The prosecutor, Insp. Haruna Ibrahim, told the court that the accused committed the offence in June 2015 in Anthony Village, Lagos State.
He alleged that the accused collected the N7.5 from his business associate (name withheld) to carry out a joint business but converted the money to his personal use.
Ibrahim said the offence contravened Section 285 (1) Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mr B. A. Sonuga, granted the accused bail in the sum of N2 million, with two sureties in like sum.
He ordered that the sureties should deposit the sum of N200, 000 each in the court registrar’s account.
Sonuga adjourned the case to June 30 for mention.
