Adamu Plots Return To Football

Former FIFA executive,
Amos Adamu is set for a big comeback soon with talks he would formally be granted a reprieve by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) by their next congress in January in Gabon.
Nigeria’s Adamu, 63, was banned from football for three years in November 2010 over bribery allegations to do with his vote for the 2018 World Cup bid.
The former CAF executive has maintained low profile even after the ban ended.
Top sources informed that Adamu plans to relaunch himself by getting re-elected as chairman of the sub-regional West African Football Union (WAFU).
It is understood he has played a big role in the recent re-election of Moucharafou Anjorin as the president of the Benin Football Federation as part of his comeback plan.
A career civil servant, Adamu first came to prominence as sole administrator of the then Nigeria Football
Association (NFA) when the country first qualified for the World Cup in 1994.
