Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Dr Austin Tam-George, said yesterday that the state government built more than 150 kilometres of roads in the past one year.

The commissioner also said that government completed road projects left over by the previous administration.
“ The governor made a commitment during the campaigns that he will depoliticise development. He has not shown any partisanship in the road or other projects in the state.
“ We are talking about an actual attempt made at re-industrialising the state through the provision of critical infrastructure,” he said.
George said government had developed a template to transform and standardise all general hospitals in the three senatorial zones.
On security, George said the Wike administration presented 100 security fitted vehicles to the police and 46 to the Joint Task Force to boost security in the state.
He stated that the governor held town hall meetings in some areas and urged the residents to assist it check crime.
On water, the commissioner said government signed an agreement with the African Development Bank (AfDB) and World Bank to provide water to 2.5million people in the state in the first phase.
“ Already, the project has been launched and upon completion, the first phase will provide water to 2.5 million people in the state,” he said.
