Wike, Obuah Get Kudos Over Peaceful Ward Congress

cratic Party (P.D.P) chairmen in the 23 local government areas of Rivers State have commended the state party chairman, Bro, Felix Obuah, Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for ensuring a peaceful conduct of last Saturday’s ward’s congress across the state.
The chairmen, who spoke through the Party’s Chairman in Port Harcourt Local Government Area, Mr Ikechi Chinda in Port Harcourt, said, the congress was generally peaceful as party faithfuls trooped out en masse for the hitch-free exercise.
According to him, the peaceful conduct of the election was in consonance with the party’s policy of fair play and equity, and the peaceful disposition of the state governor, and the state party chairman, Bro Felix Obuah.
Chinda, who said the congress was free and fair in Port Harcourt local government area of the state, commended the party’s returning officers for discharging their duties without fear or favour but with total transparency by allowing all party’s members to freely elect their party leaders in the wards.
However, The Tide gathered that, many former leaders of the party in the wards were returned for their effort in ensuring and sustaining the progress of the party in the state.
