RSG Recommits To Reviving ADPs

Government has rolled out plans geared towards resuscitating the various Agricultural Development Programmes (ADPs), across the state.
Making the disclosure recently in an interview with The Tide, the state commissioner for Agriculture, Barr. Onimim Jack, explained that the ADPs were an auxiliary arm of the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to her, as part of efforts of the present administration of Governor Nyesom Wike to make agriculture a business venture, the ADPs needed to be functional.
She assured that the ministry was already in the process of making the ADPs functional.
She described the ADPs as core business extension service delivery outlets for farmers in the state.
The Commissioner further explained that the services of extension workers to farmers at the rural level were indispensable for increased and improved crop yield.
