Pinnick, Giwa Turning Nigerian Football To War Zone- Minister

Nigerian sports minister
Solomon Dalung has said the leadership tussle in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has turned the country’s football into a war zone.
Dalung is reacting to the ongoing legal tussle between Chris Giwa and Amaju Pinnick over who the rightful president of the NFF is, and he said the situation can be compared to a ‘terrorist war style’, which he says has turned the glass house into another ‘Nigerian Syria’.
“Nothing united us as sports especially football, but that was then,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“But nothing divides us currently like football. The struggle for the glass house has converted the place into another Nigerian Syria, where terrorists’ war style is mobilized to liquidate perceived enemies,” the minister added. There seems no end in sight to the drama, with the Giwa faction insisting they were duly elected to run the affairs of the NFF on August 26, 2014, while the Pinnick group continues to enjoy the support and backing of world football governing body FIFA.
