Nigeria League Ref Attacks YSFON Player
A Nigeria Premier League referee Umar Mohammed took the laws into his hands literally when he attacked the skipper of the FCT YSFON side during a national tournament.
A player of the FCT YSFON scored a goal against Enugu YSFON in a national tournament in Abuja at the weekend, which the referee disallowed.
The player then walked up to the experienced referee to demand for an explanation for the cancelation of the goal and he was given a red card.
And when his captain demanded same from referee Unar, the match official attacked him, slapping and punching him at will.
“It was an absolute disgrace,” said a disgusted spectator.
“Just picture an adult smacking a defenceless little kid in front of a sizeable crowd.”
A formal complaint has been filed by FCT, who lost the game 2-1.
