New NRC Boss Tasks PH Staff On Productivity

way  Corporation (NRC), Port Harcourt Station, have  been urged to redouble their  efforts by putting  in their best.
The new Managing Director of the Corporation, Fidet Okorie made the call  while addressing the workers during a familiarisation visit to the station on  Thursday in Port Harcourt.
Okorie said when they put in their best, it would take the corporation to the next level, stressing that they should aim at satisfying the yearnings of their numerous customers who had developed keen interest in patronising rail transportation in the country.
He assured that the management of the corporation would not compromise their  welfare as they redouble their efforts,  adding that the management is desirous to put smiles on the faces of its workforce.
The New Managing Director reiterated  that the present administration placed  premium on rail transportation services, as  it has positive effect on the economy of the country, and further appealed  for all hands to be  on deck to achieve set goals.
In a response, the chairman, Nigeria Union of Railway workers (NUR), Rivers State, Comrade Woyengidengiyefa Ikoni commended  the Managing  Director for his good ideas  and intention to take the  corporation to the next  level, saying, “We have strong belief  that being an insider, he will use his  wealth of  experience to bear”.
The Union’s boss  assured that the workers are ever prepared to put in their best but  lacked the tools to work with, and  appealed  for staff welfare and other incentives to boost their morale, and  thanked the management for their efforts  in sustaining the visions and mission of the corporation.
There was an interactive session during  the visit  where workers were asked to say their mind on how to move the corporation forward as well as challengeds.
