Kwara Football Academy Players For Trials In Europe
Seven players from the
Kwara Football Academy (KFA) will be undergoing trials in four European countries, United Arab Emirates and South Africa, the academy’s Administrator, Kunle Ayantola, has said.
Ayantola, who made the disclosure to our correspondent yesterday in Ilorin, said three of the players would be going to Slovenia.
Others, he said, were for trials in Sweden, France, South Africa and Dubai, adding that the trials would commence in a couple of weeks.
Ayantola, however, said he would not give details of other players for security reasons or breach of agreement with some of their clubs.
The administrator disclosed that the academy had opened discussions with some top players’ development agents in England to fashion out ways to see how they could reposition the academy.
He said the era of over reliability on government’s subventions was over, hence the need to run the academy with the best global practices.
