Gunmen Kill Two Security Officers At Rivers State Judidiary
Two security
operatives attached to the Rivers State Judiciary, Port Harcourt were killed by unknown gunmen in the early were hours of yesterday.
An eyewitness, who spoke with The Tide under the cloak of anonymity in Port Harcourt yesterday, said the security operatives met their untimely death while discharging their lawful duties.
The eyewitness who claimed to be a judiciary staff did not disclsoe the names of the security operatives, however, described the incident as barbaric.
According to him, “the police will investigate the killing. It is unfortunate going by the spate of killings in recent times.
Speaking with The Tide, Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer,, DSP Mohammad Ahmed confirmed the incident.
Already, policemen have sealed off the judiciary complex and workers have been asked to go home.
It would be recalled that on Monday, five policemen were killed in Okogbe, Ahoada West Local Government Area as well as a naval officer and a rating.
