Attempted Murder: RSG Moves To Arraign Lloyd

Government says plans have been concluded to commence the re-trial of the former Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Lloyd for an alleged attempted murder case at the State High Court.
The State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Emmanuel C. Aguma (SAN) disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Port Harcourt on the recent attack at State Judiciary Complex.
The State Commissioner for Justice averred that the re-arraignment of Hon. Chidi Lloyd was among high profile cases that the state government was to commence on the day the tragedy struck at the judiciary complex and added that despite the ugly incident the state government could not be intimidated in continuing the matter.
It will be recalled that the former state House of Assembly leader, Hon. Chidi Lloyd  who represented Emohua Constituency during the 7th Assembly was charged by the police on conspiracy and murder.
Hon Chidi Lloyd was alleged to have attempted to kill a fellow lawmaker, Hon Amaewhule Chinda during a little fracas at the then House of Assembly during the last administration in the state.
The former lawmaker was later discharged of the charges following the withdrawal from the case by the former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon Worgu Boms.
